D. Charles Florian learned the importance of hard work and dependability as an employee of United Limo, Inc. in South Bend, IN. It was while working in South Bend that Charles had the idea of running a shuttle service between Lafayette and the Indianapolis Airport, similar to United Limo’s service to O’Hare airport.
In 1986 Charles started Lafayette Limo by purchasing three small vans from his former employer and setting up an operation built on the core principles of hard work, consistency and fun. Charles was joined in 1987 by his son, Jeff, and in 2001 Charles sold the business to Jeff. Under Jeff’s management Lafayette Limo has continued to grow from those first vans to a fleet of over 40 buses, limousines, vans and town cars that now service Greater Lafayette businesses, students, and personal travelers.
Today Jeff works closely with his wife, Rhonda, and other family members to maintain the strong tradition of dependability and customer service that the business was founded upon. Lafayette Limo has a staff of over 60 employees that have joined their family to help make Lafayette Limo a success. They have actively supported various church and social service groups including the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Family Services, and Lafayette Urban Ministries.
Jeff contributes the success of Lafayette Limo to not just his customers, or the hard work Jeff, his family and employees have put into their work, but also to the Lord’s many blessings.

Jeff manages all aspects of the business, but focuses most of his time on trying to learn how to better serve Lafayette Limo’s many customers. He joined his father, Charles Florian, in the business in 1987 and in 1994 Jeff took over running the company upon his father’s retirement. Jeff purchased the business in 2001. Jeff and his family have worked tirelessly to serve the Lafayette community and grow the business to meet their customer’s expanding needs.
