HISTORY
D. Charles Florian learned the importance of hard work and dependability while working for United Limo, Inc. in South Bend, IN. During his time there, Charles conceived the idea of running a shuttle service between Lafayette and the Indianapolis Airport, similar to United Limo’s service to O’Hare Airport. In 1986, he founded Lafayette Limo by purchasing three small vans from his former employer and establishing a business built on the core principles of hard work, consistency, and fun.
Charles was joined by his son, Jeff, in 1987, and in 2001, he sold the business to him. Under Jeff’s leadership, Lafayette Limo grew from those original vans into a fleet of over 40 vehicles, including buses, limousines, vans, and town cars, serving businesses, students, and personal travelers throughout Greater Lafayette.
Since Jeff's passing in November 2017, Amanda, Nathan, and other family members have continued to uphold the strong tradition of dependability and customer service on which the business was founded. Amanda and Nathan have taken an active role in overseeing day-to-day operations, managing the fleet, coordinating with staff, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and community partners. With a deep respect for the company’s legacy and a shared vision for its future, they’ve implemented new technology and operational improvements while preserving the core values that have defined Lafayette Limo for decades. Their leadership reflects a blend of innovation and tradition, ensuring the business remains a trusted name in transportation.
We remain committed to supporting local churches and community organizations that work to meet the needs of others. We believe that giving back is a vital part of our mission and a reflection of our values. The success of Lafayette Limo is rooted not only in the dedication of our customers, family, and employees, but also in the many blessings we have received from the Lord.
OWNER
Rhonda Florian
Rhonda Floridan, who is semi-retired, has passed most of her responsibilities on to two of her children, Amanda and Nathan. She now serves primarily as an advisor, guiding decisions on fleet upgrades and innovative ways to better serve our community. As the industry continues to evolve, our company remains committed to staying ahead of the curve. One of our most recent milestones was the purchase of two fully electric buses— an investment that reflects both our dedication to innovation and our responsibility to the environment. We’re proud to be leading the way and remain focused on growing with the latest advancements in technology.
Rhonda is also a devoted grandmother who enjoys spending time with her grandchildren - attending sporting events, school functions, and more. As our family continues to grow, with some grandchildren now getting married, she is hopeful that a fourth generation of Florians is being prepared to one day carry on the family's transportation legacy!
She attributes the company's success to God's blessings. Everything we have achieved is through His grace. In addition, Rhonda extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who continues to support us and use our services - we couldn't do it without you.
